the ITAA (Information Technology Association of America) is conducting certification of Y2K compliance.

The ITAA certification is for a rigorous process or methodology of doing Y2K work. It is not the same thing as saying product X is Y2Kok.

ITAA Y2K certification is/was a paper questionaire. But by subjecting your organization to it, you're at least demonstrating a serious committement to your Y2K efforts. It is not the same as subjecting products to some sort of formal testing regime.
