There I am, sitting at my computer, trying to write an OVERDUE article, resolutely ignoring the siren voices emanating from SI. Finally, I break down, and saying to myself, "I'll just take a quick peek", I log on -- and then there is something to which I just HAVE to respond-- and then, it's down to PERDITION! Oh, Joan, I know the feeling so very well! There have been times when I've had to drop offline because the temptation was so overwhelming. I can easily understand why Terrence Bergh and others periodically abstain altogether from SI as a sort of hygiene.
