I obviously agree with you. I think PC is stupid. I always have. This country was founded on principals that are anti- PC. You have the right to EVEN be a bigot in this country. And cities that put up signs (as they do in Hayward Ca) that say things like "No Room for Racism" really piss me off, even though I hate racism. If you aren't free to be an obnoxious racist bigot, then you aren't really free are you?

I've always felt that the PC obsession actually promotes prejudice in some ways. All of us have prejudices, they are unavoidable. Acknowledging them allows us to control them and to refrain from acting upon them. People who pretend they don't exist are liable to be controlled by them in a variety of subtle (and less than subtle) ways.
