< that explanation may be suitable for CNBC audiences> Actually I considered it quite relevant(but then again,I'm just an audience member of CNBC<g>), when you consider CMGI's market cap is in excess of $14bb,XCIT $10bb,EGRP $11.0BB,,,when you consider the weighting,it is obvious, as on the NAZ, a small hand full of stocks are carrying the Russell as the big 5 are carrying the NAZ..Although I would agree by looking at the Hi/Lo,there has been some broadening,but not to the extent that many believe.Many forget, the Russell is a weighted avg...DD
