The BOP fell today to half a green bar from a full green bar. I would say the institutional buying slowed down in reaction to the ericson and cisco acquisition news.

Re: Why is 22nd the turning point?

Well it's quarter end _and_ year end reporting time for FORE. How could they have any kind of conference call and have anyone take any of it with a grain of salt if they say "no comment" on the merger question? They can't keep deferring this question, and quarter/year end earnings announce seems like a natural deadline to resolve things by. I'd have a hard time believing that anything was imminent if it didn't happen by the 22nd, unless FORE management does actually say "no comment" on the merger question then, which I doubt.

The flip side is they say, "no merger". You know the rest of that one.
