You are right Ward that your way is the smart method of investing. I'm having fun with a part of my portfolio that is meant for specualtion. Has worked out very well so far but I will take the profit and move it into more long term investments as I go along. My long term stuff often are small and medium caps on the CDN markets (still some moderate risk :). Take care, Essam.

you know what they say, when seemingly ordinary people become expert stock pickers and are giving advice... I say the Dow may be headed over 11000 and then I'll be looking at some S&P 500 puts or maybe better yet Nasdaq 100 puts.

Thought I would recap on yesterday's picks for the people who don't believe that good technical analysis works. NNC...bouncing off a resistance point on volume. Could head higher. And bounce it did. Up +$2.85 and was up +$6 at one point BLD...Bearish candlestick formation The candles don't lie...Down -$3.10 for the day DHC.A...candles are saying we are heading higher in the short term. Like I said...the candles light the way..Up $+2.15 and was up $2.45 at one point today DFS...ascending triangle...buy confirmed on breakout through $21 When your hot your hot…When it broke through $21 today it flew…up +$1.40 and was as high as $1.60 for the day AC....at key resistance point. It has been dropping on falling volume. Should be good for a .50-.70 bounce Maybe I am psychic…. close up +$.40 for the day and was up +$.45 at one point SPI...just broke key resistance point. Tomorrow should confirm a new run. I'm smoking now….up +$.60 with a high up +$.70 for the day SFF...nice upward trend...looks like it will continue Not only am I smoking…I'm on fire…..up +$.50 to 5.50 CAE...cycle time is predicting a short term bounce We got our bounce…up +.25 with a high +.35 LTV...heading lower in the short term Was down -$.60 at one point but closed even for the day on low volume. NLC...a coil spring is build...waiting for it to pop for an confirmation point. Could easily break its old high Down .15 on low volume….the spring is getting tighter. MLT...hitting a 5 time bottom in the 6 months at $10. The next couple of days will tell the story. If it turns it should be good till $12 Closed even…the war between the bulls and bears continues…we need a breakout in one direction to know the next trend JFM...higher bottoms..if it breaks $6.20 it should fly Down .20 to $5.75 without ever breaking $6.20. Need two break $6.20 or form a good base before I will look again. COS...looks like a coiled spring but I would wait for a confirmation The spring uncoiled a bit today… up +.11. However it still needs a confirmation before it is going higher When your 14 for 14 (4 need confirmation) you are allowed to toot your own horn once <gggg> This is the last time I will post picks because it is going to be impossible to beat yesterday's group. I made a nice profit on NNC and BBD.B which I forgot to post. Hopefully this caught the eye of people that don't use or believe in T.A.
