thanks for getting back, at. glad you took care of things. on ie4.0 you can delete all temporary internet files right there on the same dialog box (general tab) as where you cleared history. simply click delete files, then yes if so prompted again. then click ok to back out. i have never heard of any problem arising from clearing temp internet files this way. i encourage anyone who has to please let me know. it is not in any way a risky thing to do. i'd classify it as general maintenance, for want of a better term. :) mark
