In defense of Enlightenment... It is stable now (as of version 0.15 and above). Also, the perception of it being a resource pig was caused by the use of shaped pixmaps in the window decorations, and it is much more frugal if you don't use them. The default theme now is not shaped, so it will run much faster for people now. If you use a plain-jane theme, then E can compare with WindowMaker and the like for resource usage. Also, most users do not run imlib-config before running E, which can make a dramatic difference in performance and resource usage. -Mitch
