Wed 14 Apr 99 In the News
The Globe and Mail reports in its Wednesday, April 14, edition that Global
Thermoelectric yesterday retreated $1.29 to $3.76, on the Toronto Stock
Exchange. The Globe's Market Movers column reports that shareholders, who
couldn't believe their good fortune as Global Thermoelectric roared ahead
nearly 300 per cent in two sessions, may have decided to lock in some
profits. Promising tests of the company's fuel cells had pumped up
investors, who sent the shares soaring to $5.10 at the end of Monday's
session from $1.30 at Thursday's close.
