Scott,
Hi!!!

" WE WILL TAKE PAIN TO CAUSE MUCH PAIN"......

Now let me see ....who said that? And the time was even more significant ....If you know the two answers then you have one of the main reasons why there is no slowdown at DELL....First, let's consider the market share of everyone...then we should calculate why DELL is saying "we see no slowdown in the PC business".....Ok...so, some are confused...well, the industry may be suffering a slowdown but why is DELL immune from this? Surely they aren't totally bulletproof...The answer lies in the first two questions....
But let's examine a statement today:

Today, Hewlett-Packard CEO Lew Platt said that competition among the major PC makers for large corporate accounts has become particularly fierce.

The answers below: Michael Dell Conference Call 4th qt.

Go figure....1. The Data Server is new...
2. 50% more business will now deal with DELL (Dell has left enormous sums of money on the table in the past...Meta Group Survey)
3. Exposed Server Rip-offs of the past are catching up to
the competition...Consolidation anyone??
4. "INCUMBENTS HAVE ADVANTAGES, BUT WE'RE
VIEWED AS A SIGN OF CHANGE" THEY'RE
AFRAID THEY WON'T GET THERE WITH THE OLD
TRUE BLUE SOLUTION"
5. FASTEST GROWING BUSINESSES ARE OUR
MOST PROFITABLE
6. WIN RATIO EXITING THE QUARTER WAS THE
HIGHEST IT HAS EVER BEEN.

HOW MUCH MARKET SHARE IS DELL GAINING? :O)

BETTER BUY MORE DELL

Best, Kemble
