How's this one for undervalued? ECGOF: book value $4.18 which includes good will of about $1.43. The company is projecting .30 EPS for FY99 and just reported .05 for Q1 today. It closed at 1 1/2 on the ask before earnings were reported. go2net.newsalert.com

auto rental -- & Link to buffet/value portfolio. quote.yahoo.com I luckily switched from BD to AVIS last Nov when Budget missed numbers by a lot but made up for it with reserves/accounting. I do not follow too closely, but am aware that they are all raising prices, so the outlook is good. Hertz has had quite a run up in price and any could follow suit, but my guess is that AVI/DTG might be the best bets. Thread here for those with an interest.
