This is the second time you have pointed out that:

Rio may be made to support Microsofts Audio 4 if it doesn't already.(after all the rio is mainly ram)

I feel I must question this assertion. The RAM in these devices stores data (potentially any kind of data). It is the functions programmed into ROM that read the data and decode the info into audio signals. If the ROM has not been programmed to handle the data (ie MS Audio 4) then the device will not work. There is flashable ROM that can be upgraded or designs that can load patches from RAM but these are more expensive and not likely to be used in a consumer device.
