no, but i should. i'm familiar with the author John Toole and the book. i believe this was his only novel, published after his death and winning the Pulitzer Prize. his story [early death], the Pulitzer and being local have made the book well known in New Orleans. i hear it is rich in the local language and blanketed with colorful characters. sounds typical New Orleans to me :-)
