I agree and I like the chart this is a reasonable buy point for longs adverse to high risk. The same could be said for CPQ today. However, the networking sector makes much more sense than hardware plays. When the nest generation chips come out network stocks are a better play. IMHO I consider COMS as a core holding for a tech. stock investor.

Jach:XYLN or FORE could be the marriage for COMS.NexGen=home arena As you mentioned, key entry for the next generation is in the home arena.

3COM with its modem, cable modem and xDSL technology has the technology for future growth. Palm unit is a step toward that future also.

Eric gave a Brilliant interview the other day. He stated, buyout is not ruled out. As a result of this statement, they are probably making sure the price with potential buyer is right. With a good price, investors might drop their law suits.

Jach: COMS is under a boycott by MF's. It is unlikely to breakout till
they are willing to step to the plate.

That may be a couple of weeks away by which time some more earnings will be out.
