Re: Schwab executions - I cancelled a trade order after 8 minutes today - its disgusting if you are used to immediate executions ! Often the execution reports take 20 minutes or more ! In a fast moving market that can mean you lose the chance to sell at the top and are left holding the stock when it tanks below purchase price. Happened with me soooo many times ! Currently holding YHOO at a loss when I could have sold it at 245 ! And for that they charge >$100 per option trade !

Brown & Co - They need min 5 years experience, and at least 15K in trading account, and you need cleared funds - no T+3 for them. They have other requirements as well, they do ask about your net worth (all brokerage houses do), but not sure whether thats a prequalifier or not - heard their executions are great. Haven't started yet, waiting for the account setup !

I love Pru though ! Pricy but fast and precise. Yesterday I cancelled a limit sell order on RNWK options at 12:55 even when I could already see my bid on the schwab screen <g> - extremely timely executions there ! I sold this mornin' and made extra 10 points on the options.
