This could be possible, if there was a united NATO type organization in Africa. But, there isn't. It would be a disaster for the US to go into any area of the world where the surrounding nations, of a conflict, were not united, as NATO, in resolving their own area's conflicts. We learned that in Somalia.

The US should never go it alone, unless our national security, or the world's security is obviously at risk.

The difference here, is that the tyranny is going on in Europe's back yard, and Europe is united against it. The US would not have entered into the Kosovo conflict without this European based organization.

Douglas, And don't forget Rwanda, Somalia, Nigeria, etc,etc.

The military/industrial complex was never motivated by "humanitarian" reasons--strictly money.
