[funds out]

I'm experimenting with a news funds out route. Yesterday at 10:14am I wired funds to a Schwab account of mine. (Schwab has checking. And that part of Schwab works.<g> ) Between 1pm and 3:15pm today, the added funds showed in the Schwab account (no time stamp on the history entry). Schwabbie has a mysterious * about commissions calculated at the end of the day, but I don't expect it to apply to this transaction - at least the phone Schwabbie said it wouldn't. Though phone schwabbies are much like phone datekies and are often unable to locate glutious maximus even spotted the use of both hands.

Too bad my regular (bank) checking account has fees on inbound wires, or this would be even better. So far, so good = good enuf for now.

Perhaps others with multiple brokers can sort something like this out as well.

Cheers, Paul

PS An extension of this using DTC transfers of securities might be a useful component as a trading front end:

Do I = 1 to 5 /* SFD's (?) recommended 5 brokers */
if broker(I) = AFU for 5 days or more
then begin:
call determine_best_underfunded_broker
DTC xfer securities to b_u_b
WIRE cash in excess of minimums to b_u_b
end

But how to determine best underfunded broker? Inverse of number of SI posts on broker thread? Something useful from the Gomez site? How often to perform optimization? Monthly? (DTC takes 3 days.) Quarterly? Use the 3 days to get our Sched D/D-1s in order before next april? Yeah, right....
