GZ, >>> it is not a moving average but a cumulative sum...<<<

A 25 day moving average of advance - declines is the
same as a cumulative sum of 25 days of same. It is simply
1/25 of the cumulative sum.

The peaks and troughs are the same, they cross zero at the same time, trendlines and formations are identical.

>>>the 25 day cumulative sum of the a/d has given its best reading since January.....<<<

The 25 day ma was +54.72 on 1/6 and was +11.24 on 1/21. We
currently are higher than the -49.96 reading of 1/29, at -14.28, still
a negative reading, after a SPX 12% run. Highly unusual.

I see your point about the 25 day cycle. I anchored the cycle to
the August 31, 1988 bottom and the cycle has caught some
nice subsequent bottoms. Do you have the cycle anchored to
a specific date or do you shift it around from time to time?
