OT..OT...OT..OT...OT Annette, I just have to reply to you, then I will not burden the thread with this subject any more... It is so eerie!!!....You have just described in detail exactly what happened to us about 4 years ago...I don't want to tell you what effect it has had on our valley!!!...In effect, what they did was rezone farmland to high density urban..the area had previously been designated low density rural because of the soil and terrain....The commissioners, the mayor, and the newspaper's chief editor were standing in the back of the room, chatting very amiably with the VIPS of the state's Homebuilders Association at the conference to discuss the proposed density increase....It was such a corrupt setup, in my opinion...The valley's citizens objected vociferously, but we might as well have been pleading to the walls..The stooge they appointed to chair the meeting would give each citizen 45 seconds to speak, while giving the developers and the politicians 1 hour or more apiece...Sorry to see this is happening all over..I thought we were exceptions...
