Not sure what you mean by this. The NYSE quotes a psuedo bid/ask. Place a market order and you will get it at that price.

If you place a market order on either exchange, you get filled at the ask. However, on NASDAQ, you have a reasonable chance of getting filled if you place a limit order to buy at the bid or sell at the ask. Someone just has to hit you. Not so at the NYSE. A limit order place to buy at the bid is only likely to get filled if the buy/ask moves down.

Why would you say that conspiracy theories ar BS when you just stated yourself that MMs can manipulate stock.

I'm sorry I wasn't clear. MHO is Cymer is way too big. The stock has to be so small that it only has 2-3 market makers. I have been reading lately (not on CYMI) people talking about market makers manipualting stock prices. I just don't buy it. The market is too open now.
