Windseye....apples and oranges....

(APPLES TO APPLES)

First-quarter revenues rose 18 percent to $7.1 billion
from $6.0 billion a year ago, though the latest result was 7
percent lower than revenues in the company's strong fourth
quarter.
In January, Intel forecast that first-quarter revenues
would be flat to down versus its fourth quarter revenues of
$7.6 billion, again citing seasonal slowness.

Compare Q1 98 to Q1 99 revs and net profit.....

Would the #'s on net profit (est vs actual) have "appeared" better if INTC had split after earning announcement?

Split - .57 to .55
pre-split - 1.14 to 1.09
