marginmike: targets for pcs were in the mid 50's by the end of the year.....must be a "value" issue based on current price. Perhaps, too, want a buying opp to cash in once cc is over next week.

Assuming the downgrade was the one I'm looking at, here are the analyst's comments:

"We downgraded our rating on shares of Sprint PCS to Neutral from
Strong Buy, based on price. PCS shares this year have advanced 155%,
and since March 31 have climbed 27%. We updated our discounted cash-
flow analysis to reflect more aggressive market-share assumptions, as
well as increased overall U.S. penetration forecasts. Despite our
more aggressive assumptions, we believe that PCS stock is fairly
valued at the current price, though we continue to view the company as
the premier wireless asset in the group."

Analyst is Colette Fleming with Morgan Stanley.

Personally, I'm not at all concerned with the remarks and expect them to have little long-term effect on the price. Following PCS as I have, I also expect today's close will be no lower than the 52-53 range (barring a broad market collapse or another downgrade).
