Been online trading with Discover since 1992 (when they were Lombard). Their executions have gone from almost instantaneous to, at times, 5 min's or more. Their servers are frequently swamped. Am amazed they're ranked #2, behind DLJ Direct. I have departed from NDB because of poor executions. Ameritrade not great, but nice to have when Discover is bogged down. I recommend having accounts with at least 3 online brokers in coping with server overloads. Not ideal, of course, but better than missing the boat. Am planning to sign up with DLJ Direct -- anyone out there with first-hand experience?
