Hackworth) It appears that Ms. Amanpour is back in Belgrade ready for the Serbs to be now taught a lesson about how the New World Order deals with upstarts who insist on asserting their national sovereignty. Once again, Ms. Amanpour is Johnny-on-the-spot with her own inimitable style of reporting, while at the same time her State Department husband, James Rubin, who has accompanied Richard Holbrooke for his meeting with Serbian President Slobodon Milosevic, is covering the same "breaking news" story. If that relationship between the U.S. State Department and the media doesn't raise questions about who is running our foreign policy, consider that Richard Holbrooke's wife is the former Mrs. Peter Jennings. Politics sure do make strange bedfellows!
