Yes, and no! For many (even most), the history is not significant enough to gauge, but once a good chart starts forming the charts run pretty true. Many of the technical indicators are routinely very accurate; the "reading" of the stockastics, the MACD (and the MACD histogram), the Williams %R, the RSI,, the Bollinger bands, Volumn, formations and a number of others paint a very good picture of the bottoms and tops, as well as he momentum, and of course the direction and potential. Pretty much like reading a road maps and signs! Also like reading a crystal ball or tea leaves!!! dbl
