Intel started as a 'BUY" The real gain is yet to come. The computers are getting a bit faster but are now constrained by memory speeds so performance doesn't seem much faster. That just helps prices and margins to drop. There are lots of people working to fix the remaining problems in Intel's Camino chipset which will enable Rambus. Then you are going to see some high dollar, high profit machines which will be a must have item. When? I don't know! That's the problem with problems, you can't schedule them. One of these days or months the Intel folks are going to holler eureka! and things will move pretty fast. TP

Mohan: I have a BIG idea for DELL....why not dive into the online finance field and go all out??..DELL already offers financing for products as well as credit cards. IMHO, DELL has one of the STRONGEST BRANDS and they could leverage it. Look at how important GE Capital has become to that company over the years. How would you like to see DELL- Loan.com ?? >>>A Major online finance portal -- offering all kinds of capabilities (from mortgage loans to other products). The best way to do it would be to partner with a leader -- like a Norwest Morgage. DELL has tremendous credibility and really knows how to go DIRECT to the consumer or business with their marketing. This new DELL Finance operation could complement DELL's core businesses and provide a great new stream of profits. Just Dreaming. Yet, you NEVER know what MSD and team will do next <GG>!!!
