Niles was pretty emphatic about the PC industry heading toward the 'cell phone model', with PC's being given away free with an ISP package. Agree with you on the interview, he was uniformly negative, said Intel will be volatile going into the summer, but that it's going down. He talked about ASP's being down and continuing to do so. He also agreed to some extent with CPQ's CEO that PC weakness is not limited to CPQ...

i never take advice from a little boy (niles) ... selling with the herd is a terrible mistake IMO. HOLD ON and you will be rewarded, once dan and his croanies buy more!

I think the RS analysis was very short sighted /day trader approach
the "free PC " route is just a "Loss leader" strategy;
eventually evryone who gets a low end Kmart Box will want to upgrade;
then upgrade again..

- So how can Intc Lose in the long run?
