The MONEYLETTER article by Gordon Pape called growth online - you all should read it. One quote "I predict that within a decade there will hardly be a business in North America that doesn't offer its products online. Within a generation, e-commerce will be the number-one way the world goes shopping. More purchases will be made online than will be made in conventional stores". I was watching the other day the Rosie O'Donnell show. She said she sold over US$1/2 million of gifts over EBAY web site alone for her charities. So when you hear all this about the bubble bursting, why would the bubble burst with all this growth going on. I agree the market caps may be a bit high on EBAY, but I don't see the bubble bursting. Maybe the air can be let out every now and then, but to burst - I don't think so. Since EBAY joined the Nasdaq, their shares jumped from Cdn.$27.00/sh. to Cdn.$850.00/sh. It's going to be interesting to see EBAY's latest revenues - it must be gone through the roof. Theres not a day goes by Rosie O'Donnell doesn't talk about EBAY on her show, watched by millions. Too bad bid.com couldn't get similar free advertising on some popular TV show.!!!
