john..re niles/pfeiffer/mason..

things actually not looking too bad..still look for dell to close at/above 40...intc...57.5...inspite of down..very resilient..think pfeiffer committing suicide..but wants to take the whole sector with him...he should expire before dell, ibm, hwp, gtw does...

John,
We are down to new lows today 39 3/8. OUCH I see a margin call today. I have been hanging in there but DELL is killing me right now with holding so many shares.

I don't understand why CPQ is UP and DELL is down.

Why is DELL trading below $40 when they have the business model to thrive in this new environment?? The Fund Managers still don't get it <GG>....they have been buying net bank stocks with no earnings......IMHO, DELL will prove that they are the online e-commerce powerhouse that is a true cash cow -- with BIG margins.

Oh well, I'll be patient...there is always something running....good thing I still have some XNET (the Chinese ISP / Portal play)....its been a nice 500% run up for me in the last few months -- and I think the fun has just begun. Its valuation is still lower than a MSPG or a YHOO or a AOL -- of course they are market leading franchises. Yet, I thought I heard somewhere that China will be a BIG internet market going forward.....Hmmmm, first someone has to sell them A LOT of PCs, servers, and storage products -- I'll bet on DELL to come out ahead in that area.

Best Regards,

Scott

Compaq's disadvantage (5fer) is Dell's advantage.
