DSL Heating Up - More to come. Two high-speed Internet firms launch service in Philadelphia Two new providers of high-speed Internet access for small and midsize businesses have launched service in Philadelphia. Northpoint Communications of San Francisco started selling high-speed digital subscriber line (DSL) service this week in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. Northpoint is selling its service through regional and national Internet service providers, including DCANet, Philadelphia. Network Access Solutions, Sterling, Va., said it had opened a regional office in Malvern to help its sales of DSL in the Philadelphia region.
