"LE is just trying hard to push ORCL up when it's dirt cheap.
It's matter of his big ego trying to recover! I love it!"

I usually do not get involved with stock valuations because the market is the ultimate deciding mechanism. I think that this repurchase program is a good idea because ORCL needs to something with its cash on hand. They could use it to make acquisition but they typically are not very active in this area.

If you look at the DELL 10K you will see that they made millions/billion from purchasing options on their own stock. This is a sign of confidence by the company and will raise the stock price in the short term. In the long term it will be the new products and services that will drive the stock price either up or down. I am long, so I happen to think that this company is going to experience significant revenue growth over the next 2-3 years.

Thanks, Bob.
