Is there a way to test for equivalence to a string, such as if x="Y"?
I'm setting some flags in my scan, and it appears that I can only test for numeric variables, not strings, unless my syntax is incorrect.

Also, there isn't any way to concatenate strings is there? I would ideally like to create my output file name by combining some of the variables I set when I run my scan. Thanks.

Cary

My download screen's 'Today is' has been giving the date one day ahead recently. This is both before and after installing the new downloader. Nothing seems to be adversely affected as the days to download data for have been correct. Its just nagging to see an incorrect date there.

Gary,
Is there any plan to fine tune the new ascii exporter so that it can deal with headers in the files it updates? It's a great improvement over the original exporter in version 2, but still falls short in version 1 in this respect. There, you could update ascii files that had 1 or 2 header lines in them, which some of my analysis software needs.

Currently, as near as I can tell, when the ascii exporter encounters a header line, it crashes.
Thanks,
Dave

Hi, Gary--

Back from my vacation now, and this Saturday's download was the first chance I had to try the new build. The IRL update problem is fixed. The update speed is now even much faster than it used to be before v2.1.

Many thanks for your persistence on this bug.
