Can you believe this?":-) Brazilian International Goldfields Ltd - Brazilian acquires Internet company Brazilian International Goldfields Ltd BGZ Shares issued 6,385,554 1999-04-15 close $0.85 Friday Apr 16 1999 Mr. Robin Slaughter reports The board of directors has entered into an agreement with an arms-length party involving the acquisition of an Internet e-commerce company with initial emphasis on the sale of products and services into Latin American countries. Other niche markets will expand from this base. The company has entered into a letter of intent to purchase a 100 per cent interest in Peridyne Systems Inc. by the issuance of 300,000 shares in Brazilian International. The transaction is conditional upon completing due diligence and definitive legal documentation within in 30 days and acceptance for filing by authorities. Peridyne, led by Dr. John A. Meech and Zoran Bugarinovic, is a software development firm working in the area of intelligent Internet systems and other types of network communication systems. To provide intelligent services to Website users or clients of LAN or WAN systems, the main elements of the field of artificial intelligence are incorporated as either stand-alone or embedded technologies. These include expert system knowledge bases, intelligent data mining, fuzzy logic, artificial neural networks and genetic algorithms. Over the past five years, Peridyne has developed a series of niche industrial artificial intelligence applications and its own proprietary software technology. This system known as DynaFLeX provides communication links between databases, intelligent modules located on a server, and Java-based code downloaded on to a client machine. Future applications of these technologies include development of a Web-based shopping center for upscale exotic products from around the world; development of Web-U, an interactive CD-ROM-based delivery system for tertiary-education courses over the Internet, development of home and business communication networks, and development of an on-line auction facility.
