I did mean ST, relatively speaking.

Kurlak basically kept INTC in a trading range from the first half of 97 thru the 1st half of 98.

That is sort of my point, he had a vise grip on the stock for quite awhile. Sure he missed the call on the upturn, but that was some time later, maybe 18 months, which I consider longer term (not long term as some would think)

I was speaking to more of the position trader who wants to try and time a good entry point. I know we could go on and on, but I think you know where I am coming from, if not, sorry for being unclear...

PS- I am talking semi's here which are VERY cyclical in nature and many play them that way and make a killing, agree or disagree...

bp, I did sell Rambus up there, but I hope the following makes you feel a tiny bit better:

I had AMTD at $50 and sold at $57. If you don't know where it is now, then look it up.

You just never know. No one is right more than 1/2 the time. Hang in there.
