Hi Denise, disregard anything this character (ie. JP) has to say - read his previous posts and you will know why.

I hope this time I type your name right, Denise.

MACD, STOchasitic is a secondary TA is not primary at all. It has been tranformed by a very complicated mathematical and statistical formula like f=(x1,x2,x3....xn) X's matrix variable.

It has lost its originality of TA. In other words, it make things much more complicated than simple TA.

Besides, it is very mush hindside. Like all the moving average MA method. It could not give avdanced warning what so ever. Only after the facts, or event, cuz it is hindsides.

Only your rationality and intelligence, plus your ability to do critical thinking like what if ... or else.... then one sceneary then the others, like there are ten scenary s1, then s2..... then s10, THEN.. could give a foresight that is your own discerned eyes, nothing else.

I like you approach though, you sound like me that I keep learning whenever I can.

There are very interesting parts regarding TA ot not TA.

Only thing I like to stress in time is rationality, intelligence, and critical thinking, not 100% depending on TA, or else you will totally lost yourself, Denise.

JP

Denise, personally I don't put a lot of store in TA. Having said that however, I do believe that on a short term trading basis that there is a lot of psychology involved in price movements... given that a lot of people do use TA... it is invaluable to stay on top of. In many senses I think that TA becomes somewhat of a self fulfilling prophecy... so while I think it's a lot of cahoohy... I still look at charts a lot.

As far as what is good TA and bad TA.... well if you're looking at a chart that the rest of the universe can look at and you derive some insights from it in terms of how those others may react to it.... well then it is fair game to use in your analysis... keep it coming... it is always great to hear how a TA analyst is thinking..

Read this Denise and you get the idea of this guy's tactics - making statements totally untrue and no references
