Hard to see where MSFT stock will go. One one hand we have possible e-machines that might attract new users. On the other hand, this should support MSFT's claim about the competition in the industry in its trial. Remember that AOL/Netscape deal was questioned by Judge Jackson just before the trial recess of late last year. Now he will have the opportunity to see see AOL's moves in action.
Monopoly, what monopoly?

If MSFT is helped by such announcements going into the trial, it is a positive.

I am just not willing to assume options positions on MSFT. There is too much talk about the end of the PC era for heavy buying pressure in PC related stocks, including MSFT.
