Fleet Financial now owns US Clearing. On another matter, I posted a limit order today and watched it on a level II screen. The market maker representing the trade used the letters USCT which stood for US Clearing Trading. According to a Web Street broker I spoke with, if US Clearing makes a market in the stock they will act as the market maker. If not, NITE (Knight Securities) will be the market maker.

An e-mail from Web Street on updates:

Web Street will be releasing a new version of its dynamic watch list
product for the Trading Pit page. The release will begin during the
afternoon of Thursday, 15 April 1999. This new version will provide
better performance and enhanced features.

You will automatically load the new version the next time you visit
Web Street's Trading Pit page, if your browser cache is correctly
configured. If you are not sure about the cache or if you want to
force the browser to load the newest version of the dynamic watch list,
flush your browser cache and then stop and restart the browser.

To verify that you are running the new version, look for a pulldown
menu at the top of the watch list that shows "English".
