George: This GNE thing is awfully close to the third strike against Xoma's IR department. First there was the outright lying last fall about why Xoma was quizzing individual investors by phone. Then it was discovered Xoma's IR machine has been lying, or not disclosing the full truth, for nearly two years about conditions needed to be met to end the P-3. And now this.

GNE made a mistake? Yeah, sure. And in February it was the DSMB's fault because they insisted Xoma not disclose the truth. And last Fall it was the MacGregor Company, or whatever they were called, that was at fault. Always the other guy, never Xoma.

Sadly, misleading your investors does not seem to be illegal under Bermuda law. I am forced to wonder once again if more than taxes lies behind the December "emergency" board meeting and the sudden move to Bermuda. Remember the reason Xoma gave for the move? Wasn't it something about the P-3 ending soon? And didn't the prospectus even go almost so far as to claim "approval" was imminent?

Credibility is a precious commodity. Xoma's IR department is squandering it.
