Actually, I heard one negative testimony from a guy who bought a PC from E-machines, the new poster-child of sub-$400 PC's. After he experienced a ton of reliability problems, he returned the E-machine and decided on a Compaq model instead.

And to think that PC's are hard enough for the "average" person to use in the first place, without all of these reliability problems to worry about.
