Tava Tech Sees Retaining Yr-2000 Clients In New Millennium
Dow Jones Newswires

NEW YORK -- Tava Technologies Inc.'s (TAVA) chairman and chief executive, John Jenkins, anticipates that the information-technology company will be able to hold on to many of its year-2000 clients in the new millennium.

"(Year-2000 business) allowed us to bring in over 400 new clients or candidates for the application of our new business. We expect to do our core business beyond year 2000 with most of those clients," he said in an interview with CNBC Wednesday.

Looking forward, the executive said the company will most likely be profitable for the fiscal year ending June 30.

"We were already profitable for the six months through December 31. I certainly see no reason not to expect that to continue," he said. The company earned 39 cents a diluted share through the first half of fiscal 1999.
