I'm a newbee investor. Bought today @ $189. Looks like a 38% retrenchment of the bang to me. The good news is that the return on equity here is over 12%. CNBC compared that to 13% ROE for Citigroup and declared it to be substandard. I wish they had gone back to the archives and pulled up Citicorp's 2nd year ROE. I guarantee you it wasn't 12%. It probably showed a loss for the first 3-5 years. This stock is still a baby. Nothing the big banks can do will offset the overhead they have to pay for bldgs. and staff. This is the future and NTBK is the leader. I sat on the side in total amazement of the rise in the internuts. All the time trying to rationalize the #'s. Not this time. 45 days after a secondary offering, the company announces their first split. I'm on board in my IRA and hope to spend the $ well when I retire. JMHO.

i certainly see your point.
but it's true that if you hang around long enough you get used to it.

it's probably better to be able to stomach the swings than be forced to sit in a corner waiting for a stock or a sector from the
Bob Hope Generation to move a 1/4 point for you.
i mean, life is for living.

wouldn't you agree ?
