It's just that this market may well be cut in half within a year. The price of oil is about to take its toll on our economic miracle, especially in terms of flow of funds to US technology stocks.

You're right that the market may be cut in half. That's about the floor, as far as I can figure.

It also may double. That's not the ceiling. The ceiling is the total amount of wealth available for equity investment, which is much more than double the current total.

What evidence is there of oil prices rising to a point they significantly impact the economy? I don't follow it closely, but isn't oil about $10 a barrel?
