Informix and Concentric Network to Offer Industry's First Hosted E-Commerce Solution
MENLO PARK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 14, 1999--Informix® Corporation (Nasdaq:IFMX - news), the technology leader in enterprise database-powered solutions, today announced that Concentric Network (Nasdaq:CNCX - news) will offer hosting capabilities for the Informix i.Sell(TM) e-commerce solution in each of its cutting edge data centers.
Concentric Network, a leader in value-added IP network services, will provide a range of application service provider (ASP) functionality, including collocation services and 24 x 7 managed hosting capabilities. The Concentric relationship gives Informix the ability to extend the Informix i.Sell solution as an outsourced application, creating a powerful union of enterprise strength e-commerce and a fully managed data network.
