At the end of the Gulf War Bush et al established economic sanctions against Saddam Hussein. This was to be the icing on the cake to follow the successful gulf war bombing campaign. The loss of financial resources would put pressure on the masses to oust Saddam Hussein, a failed military leader and incompetent provider for their needs. Bush left office shortly after that. The sanctions began to prove ineffective early on at producing the hoped for revolution against Saddam. No modification or adjustment to this strategy was employed by bubba. His policy seems to be "if it aint fixed don't broker it." In comes your Bubba. The sanctions are kept in place no progress at all in accomplishing strategic goals and eventually indestinct or no goals at all for the sanctions. They've become a permanent institution. Soon the resources to feed the villagers and provide basic medical services for treatable desease are depleted. Innocent villagers begin dying. They are dying at a rate of over 5000 children under the age of five each month that can be directly attributed to none other than the sanctions now in the hands of clinton. Who are these dying folk. Terrorists, Saddam's military, Saddam's supporters? Nope, Saddam is a Suni Muslim. He hates Shiites and Kurds and has him self slaughtered them when the opportunity arrises. These Shiites and Kurd villagers have been dying day by day, for a decade now. This is definately bill clintons thing. What has it accomplished? It has done what Saddam himself would do if he had time and resources to do it. This is the tip of the iceburg. I know you already know all of this. I have no doubt that it bothers you even less than murdering infants. Which is why when you and bill clinton with YOUR "values" and "moral imperatives" in the Balkans have no credibility with me.
