Believe what you want. I have been in touch with the company and know how many shares are in the float and since there are so few, also have a general idea of who owns them. Based upon the trading volume for the past few weeks it has been obvious that many more shares have been sold to investors, than our outstanding to be distributed to investors. Market makers do often take a short position in a stock trying to drive the share price down to a lower price so they can buy it back on the cheap. As for the cert call, do all shareholders win? Perhaps not everyone gets the benefit of the stock rise because it all relates to timing and the fact that the shorts are only obligated to fill the orders against people who have requested their certificates. But shareholders are all better off if the MMs can't short the stock against the best interests of all the shareholders.
