michael..<ot>college...what college..i'm barely got out of high school! i muse at a twenty eight year old who does not even know what life is about, let alone having good sense in investing...you are concerned of the market..you have not lived thru a "bad" market..you only know a "bull" market..you were not born when i started selling puts...you speak of comparing komatsu with dell, how...a japanese heavy equipment manufacturer who got hit hard when the arab gulf bubble broke in the early eighties...oh, i forgot you were about ten....better comparison would be with caterpillar...nothing worse than one who experiences life thru reading...you seem like an intelligent lad...so why is it difficult for you to recognize a concept that has been proven in up and down markets...do you remember 17% mortgages, vietnam war, arab oil embargo, were you in the "car seat" as your mommy waited in line on odd number days to buy gas, give me a break...what have you truly achieved that enables you to speak from such a pseudo intellectual point? you are obsessed in trying to prove a point...so short, buy gold,whatever makes you happy...get your head out into the sunlight of reality, i concede...you have more than proven your point..just another phenom....you measure that which is convenient for your case...cash return this year better than dell...and if you bought dell in october????? silly little boy...go away <eom>
