I'm new on this thread, actually to SI, and would like some info on what you mean by UMC vs STM. About a year ago I was told by a friend that Co. was on a downward track but that it was still up and coming. From looking at the chart it did turnaround ... for a bit. Also this bit of news quicken.com What do you all make of this??

< Unbelieveable. What a grossly mismanaged company. Perhaps, If Osman had taken my advise six months ago and gone with UMC instead of STM, we would not be in this mess. > That is an understatement. Osman is an idiot!!! He does not belong to be a manager any place, including the local Taco Bell. I do not know why the hell the board does not throw his a** off the company property. This management team is a damn disgrace. When I did not see "TDDDF" on my screen, I thought that Osman has finally done it, and the company is dilisted. That is not too far out, if this jerk is not replaced.
