Michael--- As I said, I prefer to curtail the rounds of "nihilism", so I don't want to offend Daniel. But I do think that one should prepared for at least a bit of rough-housing when emotions are necessarily running high on some of these issues, which is why some of my dissents are milder than Daniel might think fitting. Does Bill sometimes go a bit overboard? I've called him on some things, but considering the agitation occasioned by having someone in the White House whom many of us feel has disgraced his office, and the sense of shame and queasiness many of us feel at the botch being made of the NATO intervention, I understand the occasional hyperbole...
