American Spirit: Probably won't be the last opp. Though the boards state April 26 is the date, I expect that the IPO will be in May. I am accumulating along the way. Believe me, if it heads past 50, I'll also pick some up in the 40's.
As for AMZN, BKS can indeed challenge them. Amazon stole BKS thunder, but the bottom line is that whoever can sell for cheapest will win out. And if other online ventures are any indication (travel, computers), then they will be competitive and while one will be cheaper for one book, the other will be for another. In other words, both will profit greatly and get the little guys off the net. Amazon will be great for the near term, but not because of books. Because they are concentrating on expanding. Possibly helpful for BKS who will be concentrating solely on BKS as far as I can tell.
