can anyone here help a novice investor understand the market a little better. I am currently playing TPIL on the cdn unlisted. or if anyone knows of a thread where this is discussed I would greatly appriacate any help.

mike, The groundbreaking book on computers and productivity is Tom Landauer's "The Trouble With Computers." The data is woefully out of date now, but he is pretty convincing that the contribution of computers and IT, in general, to productivity is way overstated. Of course, he recommended some cures, and some are being addressed. He cites usefullness, useability and cost as the problems. That last one is definitely going the right way. <g>
